HILLSDALE, Mich. -- The University of Michigan men's track and field team, which sent several athletes to the Penn Relays this weekend, also sent a handful of competitors to the Hillsdale Relays on Saturday (April 29). The Wolverines earned three top-five finishes at the relays, including Nick Rogers' (Birmingham, Mich./Seaholm HS) victory in the shot put, with a heave of 51-8 1/2.
Rogers was joined in the top five in the shot put by teammate Jason Hoyner (Gaylord, Mich./Gaylord HS), who placed fourth with a personal season-best toss of 47-5. Rogers capped off his impressive afternoon with a third-place finish in the discus event, with a throw of 155-1.
