Bentley Named Big Ten Conference Athlete of the Week

In addition to Bentley, two other Wolverines have provisionally qualified for the NCAA Championships. Katie Clifford (Grand Rapids, Mich./West Catholic HS) has qualified in the 3,000-meter, 5,000-meter and 10,000-meter runs, while Katie Ryan (Rochester Hills, Mich./Rochester Adams HS) is qualified in the 10,000-meter run.
The Wolverines' next meet is the 2000 Big Ten Outdoor Championships this weekend (Friday-Sunday, May 19-21) in Iowa City, Iowa. The Wolverines then have a week off before competing in the NCAA Outdoor Championships to close out the 2000 campaign. The Maize and Blue will be looking for its fourth Big Ten outdoor crown and second in three years after winning in 1998 and placing fourth in 1999. Michigan has also won two of the last three Big Ten Indoor Championships.
