Bentley Delivers NCAA Provisional Mark at Ohio State

Michigan's new school record holder in the pole vault is Candice Mullings (Marietta, Ga./Walton HS), who recorded a mark of 11-9 3/4 to place third. April Phillips (Fraser, Mich./Fraser HS) upped the Michigan season best in the shot put with a toss of 44-7 1/2, which put her in seventh place. Michigan sprinter Maria Brown (Kingston, Jamaica/Immaculate Conception HS) also delivered a new Michigan season best as she raced to a wind-aided 11.82 in the 100-meter dash to place ninth. Tasha Phillips (Sarasota, Fla./Booker HS) also set a team season best in the triple jump with a mark of 40-11 to place fourth.
Freshman hurdler Robin Landfair (Okemos, Mich./Okemos HS) led the Michigan contingent to the winner's stand after winning the morning heat of the 100-meter hurdles in a hand-timed 13.4. Joining Landfair in the event winner's circle for the Wolverines was Breanne Tenclay (Grandville, Mich./Grandville HS) in the morning heat of the 400-meter hurdles (1:05.55), Lisa Ouellet (Sudbury, Ontario/LaSalle SS) in the morning heat of the 800-meter run (2:13.81) and Jeanne Spink (Chelsea, Mich./Chelsea HS) in the morning heat of the 1,500-meter run (4:45.20).
The Maize and Blue completes the regular-season portion of its outdoor schedule next weekend by hosting the Len Paddock Invitational on Friday and Saturday, May 12-13, at Ferry Field.
