Kelemen Receives Big Ten Athlete of the Week Award

PARK RIDGE, Ill. -- Freshman diver Tealin Kelemen (Riverton, N.J./Moorestown Friends School) of the University of Michigan women's swimming and diving team has been selected as Big Ten Conference Diver of the week for her performances this past weekend in dual meets at Notre Dame and Northwestern (Jan. 26-27).
On Friday at Notre Dame, Kelemen placed second in the one- and three-meter diving events with NCAA zone qualifying marks in each. On Saturday at Northwestern, she won the one- and three-meter dives with NCAA zone qualifying scores of 297.60 and 307.56, respectively.

This marks the second time in three weeks -- and third time overall -- that Kelemen has been the Big Ten Diver of the Week. She previously was honored on Dec. 6 and Jan. 16.
The No. 14-ranked Wolverines will not be competing in the Nebraska Invitational this week (Feb. 2-3) as originally scheduled. U-M will travel to the Big Ten Championships Feb. 15-17 in Bloomington, Ind.
