Jazwinski Earns All-America Honors with Personal Best

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. -- The University of Michigan women's track and field program was represented by senior Katie Jazwinski (Grand Rapids, Mich./West Catholic HS) at the NCAA Indoor Championships on Friday (March 9) at the University of Arkansas. Jazwinski ran her way to an All-America performance in the 5,000-meter run, finishing seventh with a personal-best time of 16:24.54.

With her seventh-place showing, Jazwinski earned Michigan two points, putting the Wolverines in a tie for 33rd with four other teams after the first day of competition. UCLA leads the team standings with 22.5 points.
Jazwinski looks to give the Wolverines additional points tomorrow (Saturday, March 10) in the final day of the NCAA Indoor Championships. She is slated to run in the 3,000-meter run at 7:25 p.m. CST.
