Wright Earns Conference Player of the Week Award

Wright had three of his seven career multiple-hit games during the week, including a career-best 4-for-5 game vs. Bowling Green in which he scored four times, drove in five and hit his fifth homer of the season. He went 3-for-3 in the Indiana series opener and chipped in on defense with 15 putouts at first base.
Wright saved his best effort for last as he drove in all three runs in Michigan's 3-2, 10-inning win over the Hoosiers on Sunday (April 8). Wright had a two-out, two-run single in the eighth inning to tie the game at 2-2 and won the game with a bases-loaded single in the 10th.
Wright, who is hitting .350 (28-for-80) with five homers and 20 RBI, extended his career-best hitting streak to seven games Tuesday (April 10) with a run-scoring single in Michigan's 5-3 win over Eastern Michigan.
The Wolverines, fifth in the Big Ten, are scheduled to play at Western Michigan on Wednesday (April 11) before heading to Minnesota for a four-game Big Ten series this weekend (April 13-15).
