Admission and Parking: Admission to the championships is FREE. However, Van Buren Park will charge $2.00 per vehicle at the entrance to the park. Parking is available near the viewing area.
Viewing: Viewing is available from Van Buren Park, located on the western edge of Wayne County along I-94. Please note that the viewing area is on a peninsula within the park. There are no paved areas, and the ground may be uneven. There are no bleachers.

Championship Format: The following events will be contested and earn points toward a team total:
- First Varsity Eight
- Second Varsity Eight
- First Varsity Four
- Second Varsity Four
- First Novice Eight
- Second Novice Eight
Each school is allowed to enter one boat in each event and the events are to be filled from the top down. Schools are only allowed to enter one boat in each event, and athletes are allowed to participate in no more than one event.
The competition format for all six events shall be one heat of four boats and one heat of three boats. The top two finishing boats advance to the Grande Final, while all other boats compete in the Petite Final.
When there are only four or five entries in an event, there will be a four- or five-boat heat in the morning to determine lane position for the four- or five-boat Grande Final in the afternoon. There will be no Petite Final in an event with only four or five boats.
For each event, seeding shall be done by a vote of the coaches on the Monday (April 22) prior to the championships. Coaches are not allowed to vote for their own teams.
Event Scoring: The conference championship team will be determined by accumulation of points from each event. The scoring system is as follows:
