GAINESVILLE, Ga. -- The NCAA Championships showdown between the first varsity eight boats of the No. 2 University of Michigan women's rowing team and No. 1 Brown in the first semifinal of the event, which was set for 11 a.m. this morning (Friday, May 25), has been delayed until this afternoon due to stormy weather in the Gainesville, Ga., area.
The course was originally set to open for practice this morning at 6 a.m., with races beginning at 10 a.m. Because of the delay, the practice session has been cancelled and the races will start at 1 p.m. Michigan's First Varsity Eight semifinal is set to begin at 2 p.m.
Michigan's second varsity eight and varsity four have already qualified for tomorrow's (May 26) Grande Finals, set to being at 10 a.m.
