Before to coming to Michigan, the 47-year-old Swenson served as an assistant coach at Penn State University from 1996-2001 under head coach Jerry Dunn, and he was instrumental in helping the Nittany Lions rebuild their program. In his first year at Cal, Ramsey was instrumental in helping the Bears post their best overall record since 1960 (23-9), as they reached the Sweet 16 of the 1997 NCAA Tournament. In 2001, he helped the Bears again to the NCAA Tournament after a 20-11 record. He also was a part of two NIT teams, including the 1999 squad that captured the NIT championship. A native of Ypsilanti, Mich., Ramsey earned his bachelor's degree in sociology from Eastern Michigan in 1992.
The 31-year-old Schmidt joins the Michigan program with a wealth of experience from some of the nations top programs, most recently serving one season as an assistant coach at Seton Hall under Amaker. Prior to Seton Hall, Schmidt was an assistant coach at Northwestern University for three years (1997-2000), where he was responsible for off-campus recruiting and prospect evaluation. From 1994 to 1997, Schmidt worked at the University of Tennessee. He joined the Volunteer staff as an administrative assistant in 1994, and was promoted to assistant coach in 1996. A native of Stamford, Conn., Schmidt earned his bachelor's degree in social studies education from Wake Forest in 1992, before earning his master's in sports management from Tennessee in 1996.

Her tenure at Seton Hall included post-season appearances all four years and a trip to the NCAA Sweet 16 in 2000. She will primarily assist Amaker in the day-to-day operations of the office and coordinating the administration of the program. Green also assists with the administration of the University of Michigan Basketball Camp and the Michigan Coaches' Clinic.
