Rothstein Named National Rowing Coach of the Year

Earlier this season, Rothstein was selected as the Big Ten Coach of the Year and CRCA Central Region Coach of the Year. It was the second time for each, as he earned both honors during the 2000 season.
Rothstein was the coach of the club program for five years before it earned varsity status. Since that time, he has guided the team to four consecutive appearances at the NCAA Championships, four consecutive Central Region championships and back-to-back Big Ten championships. In addition to the success on the water, Michigan has had 212 U-M Athletic Academic Achievement Award recipients, 74 Academic All-Big Ten selections and nine CRCA National Scholar-Athlete selections under Rothstein's direction.
