The Wolverines return a solid core of gymnasts for the 2003 campaign. Seniors Conan Parzuchowski (Northville, Mich./University of Detroit Jesuit HS), Scott Vetere (Pennsburg, Pa./Quakertown HS) and Kris Zimmerman (Winnetka, Ill./New Trier HS) along with sophomore Kevin George (Indianapolis, Ind./Cathedral HS) are returning All-Americans, while senior Jamie Hertza (West Bloomfield, Mich./West Bloomfield HS) is a returning Big Ten champion. U-M returns a total of nine letterwinners from 2002 and has brought in a strong recruiting class that features seven freshman gymnasts.
U-M will stage its annual Maize and Blue Intrasquad scrimmage on Dec. 15 at 1 p.m. at Cliff Keen Arena. On Jan. 11 the Wolverines will open the regular season at the Windy City Invitational in Chicago, Ill.
