Michigan Home Opener Postponed Due to Weather

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The 13th-ranked Michigan softball team's 2002 home opener scheduled for this afternoon (Tuesday, March 26) against Bowling Green State has been postponed due to the weather. The Michigan-Bowling Green State contest has been rescheduled for Wednesday, April 3, at 3 p.m. at Alumni Field in Ann Arbor.
Michigan's new 2002 home opener is now the Big Ten Conference opener on Friday (March 29, 3 p.m.) against Penn State at Alumni Field. Michigan's four-game weekend homestand continues against the Nittany Lions again Saturday (March 30, 2 p.m.) before the Wolverines host Ohio State in a doubleheader on Sunday (March 31, noon) to round out the opening weekend of Big Ten action.
