ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The Michigan men's cross country team opened the season Tuesday (Sept. 3) with the running of the Michigan Open at the U-M golf course. Sophomore Tarn Leach (East Jordan, Mich./East Jordan HS), junior Tom Greenless (Milford, Mich./Milford HS) and freshman Nic Willis (Wellington, New Zealand) all finished the 8,000-meter race in 26:32.

Sophomore Nathan Brannen (Cambridge, Ont./Preston HS) and senior captain Nick Stanko (Wyandotte, Mich./Wyandotte HS) did not race.

Michigan next runs at the Michigan State Open on Sept. 20 at 2 p.m. in East Lansing, Mich. Results
