Q U O T E S
U-M Head Coach Mark Rosen
On tonight's game plan... "We had to force Minnesota to handle the ball so that their libero (Paula Gentil) wasn't a factor. In games four and five she caught fire and that was the difference."
Did your team come out flat in game four ... "Credit Minnesota in game four. We came out on fire in game three and Minnesota raised its level and we just couldn't answer. They unloaded on us all across the court."
Senior Jennifer Gandolph
On the atmosphere in Cliff Keen Arena ... "Everyone was fired up and we tried to remain steady out there. We came up a little short but we left it all out on the floor."
What did Coach Rosen say in the locker room to spark game three ... "We knew the second game could go either way, so we went in composed and focused on getting the next one (game three)."
On the play of the freshmen ... "Katie (Bruzdzinski), Stesha (Selsky) and Lyndsay (Miller) came out huge for us tonight. They are a big reason why we can compete with teams like Minnesota. They handled the pressure of playing a ranked team in front of a packed house very well."
