U-M Head Coach Cheryl Burnett
On the game ... "We're not playing with any sense of urgency until we get down by double digits. Defensively, that's when we're starting to get after it, and I wish we could start the game that way. Scoring does not come easily for this basketball team."
On her concerns with Michigan's defense ... "When we defend, we have about four people in the right position and then one totally out of position. We don't have five people doing what we need to have done. We've got to get that execution and that chemistry. I really don't have all the answers and it's a frustrating position to be in at this point. I have to give Oakland credit. They have a lot of kids who can score and they executed well."
On U-M's turnovers ... "Our turnovers made the difference in the game. We're starting to look in the right places and then turning it over. I don't necessarily have a problem with that, but we need to catch the ball because we had too many fumbles. Certainly our free throw shooting was another factor in the game. We just need to put a whole game together."
