Gaydos, Schnur Lead U-M at Eastern Michigan Twilight

YPSILANTI, Mich. -- The University of Michigan women's track and field team had nine athletes compete over two days of action at the Eastern Michigan Twilight, which concluded this evening (Saturday, April 17) at the Olds/Marshall Track in Rynerson Stadium. Senior/junior Annessa Schnur (Butler, Pa./Butler HS) was the most worked of the nine Wolverines, as she competed in three events on the final day of the meet.
Schnur, a multi-eventer, competed in the 100-meter hurdles, the high jump and the long jump. She had her best finish in the high jump, placing third with a height of 5-4 1/4. Schnur also finished 11th in the long jump with a leap of 17-3 1/2 and ran a time of 16.03 for 22nd in the 100 hurdles.
Freshman mid-distance runner Jackie Gaydos (Allen Park, Mich./Allen Park HS) headlined U-M's efforts on the track with a fourth-place showing in the 1,500-meter run on Friday evening (April 16). Gaydos completed the four-lap race with a time of 4:32.83.
A handful of athletes also participating at the Mt. SAC Relays this weekend (April 16-18).
