WALNUT, Calif. -- Freshman Jeff Porter (Somerset, N.J./Franklin HS) and junior Nathan Taylor (Courtenay, B.C./Georges P. Vanier HS), members of the University of Michigan men's track and field team, competed at the Mt. SAC Relays on Sunday (April 18).
Porter registered an 11th-place finish among the 30-man field in the 110-meter hurdles, clocking a time of 14.33 seconds, his second regional qualifying time of the season in the event. The Wolverine freshman tied for 11th with Air Force's Sean Temple and finished just 0.02 seconds out of the top 10.
