ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Senior Heather Mandoli (Kelowna, B.C./K.L.O. SS) and junior Leah Ketcheson (Belleville, Ont./Bayside SS) of the University of Michigan women's rowing team have been named to the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association's All-America first team for 2004. This comes in addition to both student-athletes being selected to the CRCA's All-Central Region first team.

Mandoli has spent the last two full seasons entrenched in U-M's first varsity eight. Earlier this season she was named to the All-Big Ten first team and selected as the Big Ten Rower of the Year. Her other past accolades include being named to the 2003 All-Central Region second team and being a two-time member of the All-Big Ten second team (2002, '03).
Ketcheson has spent all three of her seasons at U-M in the first varsity eight boat. She was selected to the 2004 All-Big Ten first team earlier this year and, as a freshman in 2002, was the Big Ten Freshman of the Year as well as a member of the CRCA All-Central Region second team.
Reynolds has been a fixture in the Maize and Blue first eight for three campaigns. Like Mandoli and Ketcheson she was a part of the 2004 All-Big Ten first team. In 2003, Reynolds was a second-team selection for the All-Central Region and All-Big Ten squads.
Culp, who has rowed in the first varsity eight for two-plus seasons, was a member of the 2004 All-Big Ten second team.
All four rowers were in the first varsity eight for Michigan's back-to-back Big Ten boat and team titles in 2003 and 2004. In 2003, the group helped carry the Maize and Blue eight to a second-place finish at the NCAA Championships, a boat-best effort, en route to a fourth-place team finish. Last weekend (May 28-30), they finished third as a boat at the NCAA Championships while also earning a third-place team finish. Ironically, they sat in succession to one another throughout the 2004 season with Culp in the seven seat, Reynolds in the six seat, Mandoli in the five seat and Ketcheson in the four seat.
