QUOTES
Michigan Head Coach Andrew Sapp
On the first day of the Radrick Farms Intercollegiate ... "Whenever you can improve 12 strokes from one round to the next that is extremely nice to see. However, we dug ourselves in such a hole after the first round we really need to come out and improve tomorrow. But like I told the team, this is the first day of a long season. Hopefully tomorrow we can get some good scores and build some confidence for our next event."
On the performance of Brian Ottenweller ... "Brian was just spectacular today. It was great to see a freshman come out in his very first collegiate tournament and play so well. He played top level golf. I just cannot say enough about how well he did his first two college rounds."
NOTES
• For just the second time in the team's history, the Wolverines are hosting a tournament at Radrick Farms Golf Course. The last time U-M had a tournament at Radrick Farms was in 1993. The Maize and Blue normally host its annual tournament at the U-M Golf Course, but the U-M women's team was hosting the Lady Northern Invitational.
• Freshmen Tim Schaetzel and Brian Ottenweller both made their collegiate debuts at the Radrick Farms Intercollegiate.
