Michigan Head Coach Bev Plocki
On the meet ... "I am very excited about this season. I had a good feeling about this week after a great week of practice. We wanted to dominate on our own floor and that's just what we did. We had a few quirky mistakes, especially on floor, but I don't think it will happen again. We don't want to be too confident, but we're very pleased with tonight's result."
On the freshmen ... "Nellie (Kippley) did a great job on her floor routine and has really improved since she got here. Katie (Lieberman) has shown her tumbling talents and what she can do on vault."
Junior Jenny Deiley
On the team's performance ... "I think we did very well. This team is strong on vault. Our freshmen performed very well tonight and I'm proud of them."
Senior Chelsea Kroll
On the team's performance ... "Usually we're very nervous before the first meet and Nebraska is a great team, but we were able to perform well under pressure. We need to work a little on our hops and landings. I was very excited on floor and our coaches said to have fun. The crowd was behind me and it worked out well. It was amazing."
