COLUMBUS, Ohio -- First varsity eight wins over No. 6 Virginia and No. 17 Duke highlighted the No. 4-ranked University of Michigan women's rowing team's results Saturday (March 26) at the ACC/Big Ten Double Dual on the Scioto River.

In the morning session, the Wolverines' top boat earned a 1.5-second victory over Virginia with a time of 6:29.1, while the Cavaliers won the second varsity eight competition and the first varsity four race that included host Ohio State.

In the afternoon, Michigan's first varsity eight time of 6:33.9 gave the Wolverines a convincing 11.4-second win over Duke (6:45.3), and U-M's second varsity eight finished 16.8 seconds ahead of the Blue Devils' boat. Virginia again won the first varsity four race with Ohio State in second and the Wolverines third.

Michigan will host No. 5 Ohio State next Saturday (April 2) at Belleville Lake.
