Alumnae Weekend Scheduled for September 10-11

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- University of Michigan women's rowing head coach Mark Rothstein has scheduled the Wolverines' second annual Alumnae Weekend for Sept. 10-11. All former U-M rowers, coxswains and coaches, as well as family and friends of the program, are invited to attend.
Saturday's events include a 10 a.m. tailgate at Rothstein's Ann Arbor home and then the Notre Dame vs. Michigan football game at Michigan Stadium at noon. Following the game, there is a 7 p.m. dinner at the Cottage Inn restaurant in downtown Ann Arbor. Friends and family are invited to join the alumnae. Tickets for the dinner are $30 and can be purchased the night of the dinner.
On Sunday the activities move to Belleville Lake and the U-M boathouse. Alumnae, friends and family are all welcome to attend the day's events. The 2005-06 Wolverines will practice from 8-10 a.m., which is open for everyone to watch from launches. Alumnae also have the chance to get out on the water during practice. After practice, the boathouse will be open to all visitors. Refreshments will be provided and there will be a silent auction lasting until 11:30 a.m. Letterwinner awards as well as the 2004-05 season-ending awards will be given out at 10:30 a.m. All proceeds from the weekend's events will benefit the rowing program's indoor tanks fund.
