Michigan Head Coach John Beilein
On switching the lineup... "That's the way it's going to have to be. We have to continue to improve with guys who can dribble and pass. It is very important for us to do that when you have guys pressuring you, to have guys who can take it to the basket under control and guys that can make entry passes."
On the first half... "Fourteen turnovers has certainly happened when you've coached as many games, but not shooting a three, never. They just took all of those looks away from us. I will have to watch tape a little bit more, but they did a good job defensively, they really did."
On the defense in the game... "We realized that it was going to be a hard pressure defense. We the coaching staff tried to prepare them for that physical type of stuff. We can do all those things, but we still need to work on making pretty simple plays, in crowds."
U-M Senior Ron Coleman
On the loss..."I think they played with great pressure throughout the game and they got into us. We had a little bit of a meltdown. We just have to get better on that part of the game."
On the team's struggle protecting the ball... "They got into us a lot. They were getting hands into us. We just have to get stronger with the ball. We've got to crash harder and snatch balls. That's what college basketball is all about. Teams are going to come out and pressure you hard, and we have to work through it."
