Silva helped Michigan to a ninth-place finish at the NCAA Championships (March 8-10), as the Wolverines returned to the top 10 at the national meet for the first time since 1999. The junior claimed two national honors, including earning her first career All-America award as a member of the eighth-place 200-yard medley relay team. Silva also swam on the 12th-place 400-yard medley relay to garner All-America honorable mention.
On the men's side, U-M head coach Bob Bowman will serve as head men's coach for Team USA, and three former Wolverines will represent their respective countries, with Davis Tarwater (2003-06) and Peter Vanderkaay (2003-06) swimming for the United States and Andrew Hurd (2002-05) competing for Canada. U-M volunteer assistant coach Michael Phelps, a member of Team USA, is scheduled for six races.
