Eisermann, Luczak Win Bronze Medals at Junior Worlds

BEIJING, China -- Natalie Eisermann (Key Biscayne, Fla./School for Advanced Studies-Wolfson) and Grace Luczak (Ann Arbor, Mich./Pioneer), each an incoming freshman for the University of Michigan women's rowing team, garnered bronze medals with Team USA at the 2007 FISA World Rowing Junior Championships on Saturday (Aug. 11). The duo was a part of the U.S. junior eight.
Eisermann and Luczak's U.S. eight clocked in at 6:30.17, just nine-tenths of a second behind silver medalist Germany and 2.7 seconds off Romania's championship pace.
Additionally, incoming freshman Suzanne Maddamma (Carnegie, Pa./Chartiers Valley), who was competing in the single sculls event, finished third in her B final. Maddama's ninth-place overall finish is the second highest ever for a U.S. junior women's sculler.
