Postgame Notes: #3 Penn State 46, Michigan 17

• Today's announced crowd of 110,017 is the fourth-largest crowd in Beaver Stadium history. It is also the largest road attendance for Michigan in school history, surpassing the crowd of 110,007 at Penn State in 2006.
• The 46-17 loss snapped a nine-game winning streak for the Wolverines against the Nittany Lions. It was the second-longest for Michigan against any Big Ten Conference opponent. U-M has a current 15-game winning streak against Indiana.
• Today's setback also snapped a four-game winning streak for Michigan at Beaver Stadium.
• The 29-point loss was the largest margin of defeat for the Wolverines against the Nittany Lions, surpassing the 12-point loss in 1996 (29-17 at Michigan Stadium).
• Seniors Jason Gingell, Brandon Harrison, Will Johnson and Charles Stewart were game captains for today's matchup with Penn State.
• For the first time this season, the Wolverines scored on three consecutive drives, recording two touchdowns and a field goal to open the game.
• Michigan's 86-yard touchdown drive to open the game was the team's longest charge of the season.
• Junior tailback Brandon Minor carried a career-high 23 times for 117 yards and two touchdowns on the day.
• Minor earned his third 100-yard game of his career. Minor ran for 108 yards vs. Ball State as a freshman in 2006 and 157 yards vs. Minnesota in 2007.
• With 94 rushing yards in the first half, Minor eclipsed his previous season total of 86 through six games.
• Minor accounted for 42 of the 86 yards in U-M's opening drive, surpassing his previous season game-high of 35 rushing yards. During the drive, Minor recorded the 100th carry of his career.
• Minor opened the second quarter with his second touchdown of the day on a one-yard run, marking his first multiple touchdown game of his career.
• Minor and freshman tight end Kevin Koger earned their first career starts today against the Nittany Lions.
• Fifth-year senior defensive tackle Terrance Taylor and senior defensive tackle Tim Jamison both recorded 100th career tackles against PSU. Taylor now has 102 tackles and Jamison has recorded 101 stops.
• Junior/sophomore linebacker Jonas Mouton earned the first double-digit tackle effort of his career, accumulating a personal-best 10 tackles.
• Redshirt freshman quarterback Steven Threet made his sixth consecutive start and responded by completing 9-of-13 passes for 84 yards.
• Former U-M players and Pennsylvania natives Doug Skene and Tim Massaquoi were on the sidelines.
