
Michigan Finishes Fall Season with Belleville Classic

BELLEVILLE, Mich. -- The University of Michigan women's rowing team concluded its fall season on Saturday (Nov. 15) with the Belleville Classic, which was set up in a head race format on Belleville Lake. The event included the U-M men's club team and the Canadian National Team from the London Training Center.
Michigan's first varsity eight took fifth overall with a time of 15:04.3. The top three finishers were from the Michigan men's club team (13:44.5, 14:46.1, 14:50.7). They were followed by the London Training Center's eight (14:51.8).
The Wolverine third varsity eight and second varsity eight took seventh and eighth, respectively, with times of 15:48.8 and 16:02.8.
Michigan's novice eights were 13th (17:09.0) and 14th (17:48.3), while its novice four was 16th (20:37.6).
The Wolverines will train indoors for the next six weeks before they make their annual winter training trip to Tampa, Fla., on Dec. 29.
