ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The No. 5 University of Michigan women's gymnastics team put up a season-best score at the Coaches Care Challenge Pink Meet, totaling a 196.875 to Minnesota's 192.675 Saturday night (Feb. 16) at Crisler Arena.
Freshman Kylee Botterman(New Lenox, Ill./Lincoln-Way Central) won her fourth-straight vault title and put up career highs on the uneven bars (9.900) and floor exercise (9.875) to lead the Wolverine charge. Sophomore Sarah Curtis(Reno, Nev./Reno) won a pair of event titles on bars (9.950) and floor (9.925) while taking the all-around crown with a career-best equaling 39.425.
Fifth/senior Lindsey Bruck(Marietta, N.Y./Marcellus) was also a force with three runner-up finishes and a second-place finish in the all-around, putting up a career-best 9.925 on bars and adding a 9.850 on vault and the balance beam and a season-best 39.400 in the all-around.
Michigan pushes its record to a perfect 10-0 (4-0 Big Ten) with more than half of the regular season complete. The meet was televised by the Big Ten Network and will air on Monday (Feb. 18) at 6:30 p.m.
Michigan put up its best home vault score of the season (49.200) with a big anchor vault from Botterman, who hit for a 9.950 to win her fourth straight title on the event. Bruck added a 9.850 vault in the two spot, with senior Katie Lieberman(Lake Forest, Ill./Lake Forest) matching with a 9.850 of her own in the five spot.
Michigan dominated on bars with a season-high team score (49.475), posting three scores of 9.900 or better with a pair of 9.850s. Curtis and Bruck had career highs with Curtis' 9.950 leading the way, followed by the co-captain's 9.925. Botterman added a 9.900 for her own career high, followed closely by a pair of 9.850s from Moody and Wilson.
The Wolverines slowed down a little on beam, posting a 48.825 score. Bruck bolstered the team score with a 9.850, while junior Huneth Lor(Aurora, Ill./Waubonsie Valley) put up a 9.800.
Michigan used another season high score, this time on floor, to push its total to a new season best. U-M scored 49.350 on floor, led by a career-best 9.925 for Curtis and a career-high 9.900 from Kippley. Botterman also added a career-best with a 9.875, equaling Pearce's 9.875 in the first routine.
Michigan will travel to Raleigh, N.C., for the first of two road meets to take on N.C. State on Friday (Feb. 22) at 7 p.m.

Freshman Kylee Botterman won her fourth straight vault title with her fourth straight score of 9.900 or better. Botterman hit for 9.925 against Minnesota. She also had a career best score on bars, nailing a 9.900 routine in just her second collegiate meet, and a career-best on floor with a 9.875.
Senior co-captain Nellie Kippley had a career-best 9.900 on floor.
Fifth/senior Lindsey Bruck had a career-best 9.925 on bars. In five seasons of competition, Bruck's previous high was a 9.900.
Sophomore Sarah Curtis scored a career high 9.950 on bars, winning her first bars title.
