Q U O T E S
Michigan Assistant Coach Anne Takacs
On the success of the throwers... "All seven of the Michigan throwers made the finals. I was extremely happy they all made it. They all had good, competitive throws. They threw the hammer on the infield of the track so it was nice to have everyone able to see the event. Our whole team was there watching and cheering the girls on. It was nice for the throwers to have support for their opening competition."
"Pendleton's hammer throw was a personal record. She had an outstanding start. Danica Haight and Allison Liske also had great starts. This was the first time they threw the hammer."
"Ashley Greer, a redshirt freshman, did a nice job as well, making the finals."
"Our three veterans did well but wanted more. They're hungry for more competition."
U-M Associate Head Coach Mike McGuire
On Toni-Lynn Salucci's first Michigan race... "She did a nice job for her first time in a Michigan uniform. It was a good start to the season for her and it is good to have her on board."
