U-M had three swimmers win multiple individual events with junior Jared Miller (Liberty Township, Ohio/Lakota East) hitting the wall first in both the 200-yard individual medley (1:53.23) and the 200-yard butterfly (1:52.45), freshman Connor McCarroll (Portland, Ore./Jesuit) sweeping the backstroke events (100-yard, 50.59; 200-yard, 1:49.16) and freshman Ryan Feeley (Rye, N.Y./Rye) winning both the 500-yard (4:38.54) and 1,000-yard (9:11.67) freestyle races.
Michigan's diving tandem of sophomore Chris Morrison (Fenton, Mich./Fenton) and freshman Kasey Allen (Louisville, Ky./duPont Manual) went 1-2 in three-meter dive, with Allen taking both first-place honors.
Despite swimming exhibition, U-M hit the wall first in the only relay event of the evening, the 400-yard freestyle, with a time of 3:03.35 to end the night.

Eight Wolverines won their first individual events. Connor McCarroll, James Ridgeway, Sean Fletcher, Ryan Feeley, Sam Hoekstra, Jared Miller, Evan Gregg and Mike Swain all won for the first time in their Michigan careers.
The meet went to exhibition scoring after the 50-yard freestyle.
The Wolverines move to 13-0 all-time against Oakland.
The Wolverines split up for this weekend's action, with nine U-M swimmers in action at the Minnesota Grand Prix, Friday-Sunday (Nov. 13-15).

Michigan Head diving coach Chris Bergère
On his divers sweeping both events ... "I am really happy with Kasey and Chris in the three-meter event. It went really well, and they both had high scores with that. I thought Kasey did a nice job on the one meter, but Chris struggled a bit. I think Chris's best events are the three meter and the platform, while Kasey is strong in all of them. I was really pleased with both of their diving tonight and they really put on a good show in the three meter."
U-M Assistant Coach Dr. Josh White
On the evening ... "I think we swam well. It was nice to see some of the younger guys come through with good swims. They definitely took advantage of the opportunity to be 'the guy' in an event and that was great to see. I think we are moving forward. Sometimes it is one guy, sometimes it is another. As a whole, with every meet, it is a step in the right direction. Every meet it seems like we have a guy or two who is having a breakthrough swim and taking a chunk (of time) off. We will keep moving through to the meet in Seattle, the Short Course Nationals (Dec. 3-6), which is what has been our focus of this first semester."
