Michigan falls to 133-120-18 in the all-time series vs. MSU, including a 42-59-8 mark in East Lansing.
U-M has been swept by Michigan State in a weekend series for the first time Feb. 20-21, 1998. U-M lost 3-2 at home to MSU last night.
Team Notables
U-M has equaled its longest losing streak since a four-game spell from Nov. 25-Dec. 3, 2005. The Wolverines have been outscored 13-4 during the streak.
Michigan is 0-5-0 versus ranked teams in 2009-10. The Spartans entered the weekend ranked No. 14/13 (U.S. College Hockey Online/USA Today). U-M has lost its last eight games against ranked teams dating back to Feb. 2009.
