Captain's Log with Lindsey Howard
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 4 -- Back on the Road
I was thoroughly enjoying spring break in Miami, but I guess all good things must come to an end. We returned to the cold weather and have been back at work ever since. We've been practicing, lifting and conditioning and really getting ourselves ready for the tough weekend ahead of us. We leave early Thursday morning for our non-conference matches against No. 5 Baylor and No. 26 Texas Christian. Our team has never traveled down to Texas since I've been at Michigan, so I'm looking forward to seeing their campuses and playing some different teams. We were extremely disappointed after our loss to Miami but fortunately we have a couple opportunities this weekend to get back on track.
I still can't believe that we are halfway through the semester. My four years here have gone by way too fast and I'm not ready to graduate! Graduating in May means getting a job and being in the real world. I've been searching but no luck yet. However, next weekend I'm attending the Big Ten Career Fair in Indianapolis. I'm looking forward to meeting people from different companies and organizations and hopefully I will come back with a job! If only it was that easy ...
We will return to the Varsity Tennis Center on Saturday, March 21, for our match against Minnesota. Until next time ... Go Blue!
