NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS Michigan athletic teams have captured 52 national championships in 12 sports over the years. | CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIPS U-M has won championships in three difference conferences: the Big Ten Conference, the Central Collegiate Hockey Association and the Collegiate Water Polo Association. |
U-M ATHLETES OF THE YEAR Since 1982, the U-M Athletic Department has selected a male and female student-athlete of the year. | ACADEMIC ALL-AMERICANS Since 1952, the College Sports Information Directors of America has recognized academic achievement in collegiate athletics with its Academic All-America teams. |
BIG TEN SPORTSMANSHIP AWARD This honor acknowledges U-M student-athletes who have distinguished themselves through sportsmanship, ethical behavior and are in good academic standing. | BIG TEN MEDAL OF HONOR This medal is presented annually to a male and female student in the graduating class that has demonstrated proficiency in scholarship and athletics. |
U-M HALL OF HONOR The Hall of Honor was established to recognize individuals who have made contributions as athletes, coaches and administrators to the tradition of U-M athletics. | NACDA DIRECTORS' CUP The NACDA Director's Cup began in 1993-94 and Michigan has finished among the top five universities 10 times during that span. |
