BIG TEN MEDAL OF HONOR (2024-25)

In 1914, the Big Ten Conference endowed a Medal of Honor, to be awarded annually at each institution, to a student in the graduating class that has demonstrated proficiency in scholarship and athletics.

BIG TEN SPORTSMANSHIP AWARD (2023-24)

In 2003, the Big Ten Conference instituted the Big Ten Sportsmanship Awards. One member of each varsity sports team on every campus is nominated by the institution and two Outstanding Sportsmanship Award winners are selected from each school.

BIG TEN ACADEMIC AWARDS

RACHAEL TOWNSEND LEADERSHIP AWARD (2024-25)

In 2009 the University of Michigan implemented the Rachael Townsend Best Community Service (BCS) Award to create excitement and award excellence in community service amongst our student-athletes.

Seeking to honor student-athletes who have made significant contributions to their community, this award is given to inspirational leaders inside and outside of the locker room, encouraging their peers and teammates to serve. These student-athletes have led others through existing initiatives or developed an idea/program through to completion.
