
Wolverines Conclude Diving Action at Purdue Invitational

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- The No. 6-ranked University of Michigan men's swimming and diving team took part in the diving portion of the Purdue Invitational this weekend (Fri-Sun., Nov. 19-21) at the Boilermaker Aquatic Center.
Sophomore Kasey Allen (Louisville, Ky./duPont Manual) and junior Chris Morrison (Fenton, Mich./Fenton) finished in sixth and eighth, respectively, off the one-meter springboard. Allen posted a 278.40 score with Morrison checking in at 265.95. Freshman Jack Lee (North Egremont, Mass./Berkshire School) earned a spot in the finals of the three-meter event. His personal-best score of 291.05 was good for seventh place. Four Wolverines finished in the top eight in the first platform competition of the year. Allen posted a team-high 271.95, finishing in fourth place. Morrison (257.90) and Lee (243.60) earned fifth and six place finishes followed by an eighth-place showing from freshman Chris Fraga (Lake Orion, Mich./Lake Orion).
The swimmers will be back in action following the holiday break when they join the field at the USA Swimming Short Course Nationals, Thursday through Sunday (Dec. 2-5), at the McCorkle Aquatic Center.
