Michigan's all-time record against the RedHawks now stands at 69-26-3.
With the loss, Michigan fell to 0-2-0 in the first game of road series' this season.
The Wolverines fell behind 2-0, before captain Luke Glendening made it a one-goal game with his fifth goal of the season. The goal was Glendening's first in six games and his first point in five contests.
Defensemen Lee Moffie picked up his six assist of the season on the only U-M goal of the game. Moffie now has seven points (1g, 6a) in 11 games this season.
Mike Chiasson earned his fifth helper of the season on Glendening's tally. It was also Chiasson's second assist in as many games.
Michigan's penalty kill was perfect for the third straight game, shutting down Miami on all four power-play chances. The Wolverines have now successfully killed off the 19 opponent man-advantage opportunities.
Mac Bennett failed to record a point, ending his career-long point streak at five games. Bennett had earned five points (2g, 3a) during the run.
Derek DeBlois also saw his career-long point streak stop at four games. DeBlois posted four points (2g, 2a) during his streak.
Goaltender Shawn Hunwick turned aside 27 shots in his second loss of the year. Hunwick has started all 11 games for the Wolverines this season, earning a 7-2-1 record in those contests.
