• With the win, Michigan improved to 11-2 for the season, marking the best start through 13 games in the program's history. The Wolverines are still unbeaten (5-0) at Crisler Arena this season. Michigan's 76 points mark a season high.
• U-M moves to 3-0 all-time against Illinois State with today's win. The last Michigan victory over the Redbirds came on Dec. 12, 1998, by a score of 86-43.
• The Wolverines move to 10-6 all-time against teams currently in the Missouri Valley Conference.
• Michigan held a 40-31 halftime lead in today's game. The Maize and Blue improved to 10-0 on the season when holding the lead at halftime.
• With the victory, Kevin Borseth moves to 2-0 all-time versus Illinois State.
• U-M extends its three-point shooting streak to 171 consecutive games. Michigan has not been without at least one three-pointer in the Kevin Borseth era.
• Overall, Michigan shot 55.6 percent (30-of-54) from the field; 60 percent (15-of-25) in the first half and 51.7 percent (15-of-29) in the second half. U-M shot 35 percent (7-of-20) from three-point range; 37.5 percent (3-of-8) in the first half and 33.3 percent (4-of-12) in the second half.
• Michigan outscored Illinois State in points in the paint (40-14) and bench points (28-0).
• Michigan won the rebounding battle 33-23 today. U-M has recorded the advantage in the rebounding battle in 7-of-13 games this season.
• U-M's defense forced Illinois State into 18 turnovers, leading to 25 points.
• Rachel Sheffer led the Wolverines with career-high 25 points on 10-of-12 (83 percent) shooting, including 3-of-4 (75 percent) from the three-point line. Sheffer's previous career high was 23 points against Illinois on Feb. 27, 2011.
• Junior Jenny Ryan posted a career- and game-high 12 assists. This mark eclipsed her previous high of 11, which she posted against Detroit on Dec. 8. Additionally, with her 12 assists, Ryan shares the Michigan single-game record with Vonnie Thompson (vs. Northeastern 12/5/87) and Lori Gnatkowski (vs. Illinois 2/27/82).
• For the 13th straight game -- every game this season -- Michigan went with the starting lineup of Courtney Boylan, Nicole Elmblad, Jenny Ryan, Carmen Reynolds and Rachel Sheffer.
• Michigan's reserves scored 20 or more points for the eighth time this season. The bench was led by Sam Arnold's season high of 12 points, hitting 4-of-7 from the field -- including 2-of-3 from the arc.
