Q U O T E S
Michigan Head Coach Andrew Sapp
On the first day of the NCAA Regional ... "Today is the kind of start you want to get off to at a regional. Matt (Thompson), Jack (Schultz), Lion (Kim) and Joey (Garber) all really played well and put up a lot of birdies for us. However, there are three rounds and we cannot get ahead of ourselves, so we will have our work cut out for us the rest of the way. The key to playing this course is not to make too many mistakes and manage your game. If you put up bogeys or doubles (bogeys) it will cost you. As long as we continue to play our game we will be fine. Tomorrow is scheduled to be the nicest weather of the event, so scores could improve even more."
