Big Ten Network Releases Conference Schedule

PARK RIDGE, Ill. -- In conjunction with the Big Ten Conference, the University of Michigan men's basketball team announced today (Wednesday, Sept. 7) a total of seven conference games will be featured on the Big Ten Network.
The Wolverines will have their first two games of the conference slate on BTN, hosting Penn State in the opener on Thursday, Dec. 29, followed with Minnesota after the New Year on Sunday, Jan. 1. U-M will also host BTN games against Northwestern on Wednesday, Jan. 11, and Indiana on Wednesday, Feb. 1. Michigan's BTN road contests will include games at Iowa on Saturday, Jan. 14; at Nebraska on Wednesday, Feb. 8; and at Northwestern on Tuesday, Feb. 21.
U-M has the possibility of two additional games on BTN if the Wolverines are not selected as one of the CBS or ESPN wildcard games. The Wolverines' remaining nine conference games will be shown nationally on CBS or ESPN. U-M has four games on CBS and five on ESPN or ESPN2.
A total of 66 Big Ten games will appear on BTN during the 2011-12 season, marking the fifth consecutive year that every regular-season conference game will be nationally broadcast. Combined with the 44 games appearing on CBS or the ESPN family of networks, more than 100 conference games will appear on national networks.
