BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- University of Michigan women's senior diver Amanda Lohman (Pittsburgh, Pa./Upper St. Clair) qualified for her third consecutive NCAA Championships after finishing third (647.00) on the three-meter board on Friday (March 9) at the NCAA Zone C Diving Regionals, held inside the Counsilman-Billingsley Aquatic Center.
Sophomore Erin Bridgewater (Kawkawlin, Mich./Bay City Western) led the three other U-M divers in the preliminaries with a 29th-place finish (253.35). A pair of freshmen followed, as Carey Chen (Vancouver, B.C./University Hill Secondary) was 34th (248.15) and Marina Nazario (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./St. Thomas Aquinas) was 48th (224.50).
The NCAA Zone C Diving Regionals conclude tomorrow (Saturday, March 10) with the platform diving competition, which begins at 11 a.m.
