EAST LANSING, Mich. -- The University of Michigan rowing team competed in a novice-only event at Michigan State on Sunday (Oct. 26).
The race format saw Michigan A and B novice eight boats competing against Michigan State counterparts, with five four-minute pieces each and strokes capped at 24 strokes per minute. The Michigan A boat placed second in the first piece before notching third-place finishes in the final four pieces. The Michigan B boat finished fourth in all pieces.
The fall season for women's rowing concludes on Friday, Nov. 7, with the sixth annual Michigan Classic, an exhibition against the Michigan men's club team on Belleville Lake.
