The University of Michigan women's basketball team (7-1) continues its road swing on Monday (Dec. 5), traveling to Cincinnati, Ohio, to face Xaiver (5-0) at 7 p.m.
• Michigan is 7-1 for the second straight season under head coach Kim Barnes Arico and for just the ninth time in school history. With a win at Xavier, Michigan could move to 8-1 for just the sixth time ever and first time since 2011-12.
• Junior Jillian Dunston recorded her first double-double of the season and second of her career when she went for 10 points and 12 rebounds at Georgia Tech (Dec. 1). She joins freshman Kayla Robbins as Wolverines with double-doubles this season after Robbins had 12 points and 11 rebounds against Niagara (Nov. 13). Both players played AAU for the Maryland Lady Terps and are from the same area in Maryland.
• Michigan has topped 100 points three times this season and is second in the Big Ten in scoring (86.4 ppg), but the defense has put forth an impressive effort as well. U-M is allowing just 51.5 points per game (10th nationally) on 33.6-percent shooting from the floor and 25.9-percent shooting from three-point range. U-M is the only team in the country to rank in the top 10 of both scoring offense (8th, 86.4 ppg) and defense (10th, 51.5 ppg). Michigan is plus-14.3 on the boards (42.1 rpg to 27.9 rpg), good for second in the conference.

• Sophomore Hallie Thome has had no drop off to begin her sophomore campaign in Ann Arbor. She is one of two Wolverines to score in double figures in each of U-M's eight games and has upped her rebounding average to 6.5 per game. She is third in minutes played (27.8) and has totaled 19 blocks (2.4/game). On the season, she is averaging 13.5 points per game on 67.1-percent shooting. She is third in the Big Ten and ninth nationally in field goal percentage.
• The Musketeers (5-0) are coming off an 86-53 win over Delaware State on Thursday (Dec. 1). Xavier has yet to play a road game, hosting all five games at the Cintas Center. XU has a pair of double-figure scorers in Raeshaun Gaffney (15.2 ppg) and Imani Partlow (10.0 ppg). Xavier is averaging 69.6 points per game on 43.9-percent shooting while holding its opponents to 48.4 points on 31.8-percent shooting. Michigan leads the all-time series, 5-3.
