HILLSDALE, Mich. -- The University of Michigan men's track and field team began its weekend at Hillsdale's Gina Relays on Friday (April 29), competing in the 5K and pole vault at Ken Herrick Outdoor Track.
Sophomore/freshman Kevin Haughn set a four-foot PR in the pole vault, leading three Wolverines in the competition with a seventh-place finish. He cleared the 4.80-meter bar (15-9 ft.) on his third and final attempt, improving on his 4.70 meter (15-5 ft.) mark from the Don Kleinow Invite two weekends ago.
Freshman Nick Burkhalter also competed and cleared his first two heights. Burkhalter came in over 4.65 meters (15-3 ft.).
Michigan senior/junior Jarred Bratley also repped the block M, placing 20th in the 5K.
The Wolverines will complete events at Hillsdale on Saturday (April 30), beginning at 1 p.m. U-M will also be represented at Stanford's Payton Jordan Invitational on Sunday (May 1), in addition to having athletes Penn Relays on Thursday (April 28) and Texas State's Bobcat Classic this weekend (Fri-Sat., April 29-30).
