Juniors Jess Angerman, Tess Korten, Margaret Metzger and Anna Schueler, who were named the first captains in program history, will alternate blogging each week to keep fans up to date on Team Three. In this edition, Margaret wraps up the season, gives some well-deserved thank yous, and looks forward to Team Four.
Hi Michigan fans,
With sadness, I bring you the final captain's blog of the season. I am also sad for my mom, as the end of the season means she will no longer have anything to share on Facebook.
Speaking of my mom, I'd like to take a moment to thank every parent, grandparent, sibling, cousin, aunt, uncle, and friend that supported Team Three this season. From San Diego, California, to Gainesville, Florida, to New Brunswick, New Jersey, and everywhere in between, we could always count on the fact that we'd see you in the stands. Thank you for cheering for us, for believing in us, for reading this blog, and for helping us sneak cookies onto the bus. When we came to Michigan to build a program, we didn't realize that we would also build an incredible family.

Though this season was difficult at times, our unity never wavered. After our loss to Northwestern in the Big Ten tournament, Anna Schueler spoke for all of us when she said, "There's no one I'd rather play with than you guys". We're in this together, and while the road isn't easy, we believe in each other and know that the future of this program is bright.
Over the next four months you'll find us in the weight room, on the track, and back on the field, getting faster and stronger and improving our skills for next year. We know by now that the success of the season is dependent upon the work we put in when no one is watching. Team Four is on the horizon and for us juniors, that means we get one last shot to play the game we love. We're determined to get to the next level, and our time is coming.
Stay tuned for updates on our summer. For now and forever, a final farewell from Team Three.
#20 Margaret
