ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- With a 1-0 record over Eastern Michigan already this season, the University of Michigan baseball team (29-12) is set to play a home-and-home series with the EMU Eagles beginning on Tuesday (May 3) and concluding on Wednesday (May 4). The first game of the midweek schedule will be held at the Wilpon Complex, home of Ray Fisher Stadium, before the squad heads to Ypsilanti for the final game of the three-game slate.

» Michigan went 1-2 last week with an 11-inning walk-off victory over Michigan State. The Wolverines are currently fourth in the Big Ten Conference with a 9-5 record and have won all but two series this season.
» Despite going 1-2 last week, Michigan is still holding strong in numerous top-25 collegiate baseball rankings. The Wolverines currently rank the highest in the Perfect Game Poll with a No. 18-ranking, while also earning a No. 21 selection to the NCBWA Poll.
» With four players batting over .300 on the season, Michigan currently ranks 26th in the country with a .305 team batting average, coming it at second in the Big Ten. Michigan also has five players with an on-base percentage over .400, and the team's .391 on-base average also ranks first among Big Ten opponents.
» Through 41 games this season sophomore Jake Bivens currently leads Michigan's offense with a .372 batting average on the year and 19 multi-hit games. The infielder has 64 hits on the year with 37 runs scored. Junior Harrison Wenson is Michigan's go-to power hitter with a .553 slugging percentage and five homers on the season, including a game-winner against Toledo. Junior Carmen Benedetti also ranks fourth in the Big Ten Conference with team-leading .463 on-base percentage, while Bivens, senior Cody Bruder (.371), Wenson (.355) and Benedetti (.315) are also all hitting over .300 for the year. In addition, freshman Ako Thomas is tied for first in the Big Ten Conference with nine sacrifice bunts.
» With 5.2 IP and 9 K's last weekend, junior LHP Brett Adcock has surpassed the 220 career-K mark and now ranks seventh all-time in Michigan history with 223 career strikeouts. Senior LHP Evan Hill also ranks 13th in Michigan's all-time history with 195 career strikeouts.
