
Yurovsky, Fahey, Minor Earn All-Big Ten Honors

ROSEMONT, Ill. -- Senior Ronit Yurovsky, freshman Kate Fahey and freshman Brienne Minor of the University of Michigan women's tennis team each picked up All-Big Ten honors on Thursday afternoon (May 5).
Yurovsky, one of two unanimous selections, becomes the fifth Wolverine in school history to pick up four first-team honors in a career. Yurovsky is currently ranked No. 16 by the ITA and holds a 22-10 overall record this season after going 9-1 in Big Ten play. She is 15-5 in dual-match action, going 14-5 at No. 1 and 1-0 at No. 2. She is tied for third in U-M history with 112 singles wins and was also Michigan's sportsmanship honoree for the second straight season.
Fahey grabbed All-Big Ten honors after going 9-0 during conference play at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions. She was the only Wolverine to go undefeated in conference action and held the team's longest singles winning streak this season by winning 15 straight matches. Fahey is 29-7 on the season, sporting a 19-2 mark in dual-match action. She is currently ranked No. 65 by the ITA.
Minor was the third Wolverine honored by the Big Ten. Minor, the winner of the 2015 ITA Midwest Regional singles championship, features a 33-8 record on the year. She is 17-5 in dual matches, seeing time at No. 1 (1-0), No. 2 (9-5) and No. 3 (7-0). Minor went 8-3 in Big Ten play, playing at No. 2 and No. 3. She also received a singles and doubles berth to the NCAA Individual Championships and is ranked No. 18 by the ITA.
Michigan received the No. 10 seed for the upcoming NCAA Tournament and will host Kentucky, Xavier and Ball State at the Varsity Tennis Center. The first round will be on May 13, with the second round taking place on May 14.
