PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. -- Senior Alex Najarian and junior Kate Fahey of the University of Michigan women's tennis team wrapped up action at the ITA All-American on Saturday (Oct. 7).
Fahey went 0-2 in the singles main draw, dropping a pair of tough three-set matches. Fahey won the first set in both matches but dropped the final two.
In the doubles main draw, Fahey and Najarian entered as the No. 1 seed and received a first-round bye. The duo dropped its first match, 8-6, to enter consolation action. The pair once again received a bye in the backdraw before falling in its first consolation match.
Michigan will host the ITA Midwest Regional Championships next week (Oct. 12-17) at the Varsity Tennis Center. The tournament will try to be held outdoors, depending on the weather.
