ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The No. 10-ranked University of Michigan men's tennis team picked up a 5-0 sweep over Boise State in the first of two matches for the Wolverines on Sunday (March 12) at the Varsity Tennis Center.
Michigan secured the doubles point for the ninth time this season, winning at No. 1 and No. 2. The combination of Alex Knight and Runhao Hua improved to 6-1 on the season with a 6-1 victory at No. 1. Kevin Wong and Gabe Tishman secured the doubles point for the Maize and Blue with a 6-3 triumph at No. 2.
After doubles play, the Wolverines picked up their second point of the match with a 6-3, 6-0 win for Davis Crocker on court six, followed by a 6-3, 6-4 victory at No. 2 by Knight.
Michigan clinched its 20th straight victory at the Varsity Tennis Center with a 6-3, 6-3 win by Carter Lin at No. 5, and Wong finished out his tiebreaker at No. 4 to secure Michigan's fifth point with a 6-1, 7-6 (4) victory.
Michigan will conclude its doubleheader later today at 4 p.m. against Dayton.
