
Three Earn NACGC/W Regular-Season All-America Honors

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The NACGC/W released its list of regular-season All-Americans on Friday (March 24) with three University of Michigan women's gymnasts earning honors.
Senior Nicole Artz was named a first team regular-season All-American on floor exercise and second team in the all-around. Junior Paige Zaziski made second team on uneven bars and sophomore Emma McLean is a second team selection on vault.
Regular-season All-Americans are determined by the top individual RQS scores on each event after the conference championships. The top eight on each event earn first team honors with the next eight being named to the second team.
Artz now has eight career regular-season All-America honors. It is her third straight year finishing in the top 16 of the all-around and has earned first team recognition on floor in back-to-back seasons. She currently ranks eighth nationally on floor and is tied for 13th in the all-around.
Zaziski claims her first regular-season All-America honor after ranking tied for 10th on bars. She has consistently been in the top 10 all season, winning bars in four meets and scoring a season-high 9.975 vs. Illinois on Jan. 22.
A midseason switch the Yurchenko 1 1/2 sent McLean flying into the top of the nation's vault rankings. In her five meets competing the upgraded vault, she scored two 9.975's and a 9.950 while going 9.900 or better in four of the five. The surge helped her win a Big Ten title on the event and climb to a tie for ninth in the country for her first career All-America accolade.
The three gymnasts will lead Michigan this Saturday (April 1) when they compete at the NCAA Regional in Morgantown, West Virginia.
