
Sisson, Hicks Added to 2018-19 Roster

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- University of Michigan head swimming and diving coach Mike Bottom announced the additions of Caroline Sisson (Holland, Mich./West Holland) and Virginia Tech transfer Chloe Hicks (Centreville, Va.) to the team's 2018-19 roster on Wednesday (May 9).
"Chloe has NCAA Championships experience and adds even more depth our backstroke group, and Caroline has shown a lot of improvement over the last year or so," Bottom said. "We're excited to have them both join us in the fall."
Caroline Sisson
Breaststroke | Holland, Mich. (West Ottawa High School/Michigan Lakeshore Aquatics)
Sisson specializes in the breaststroke. A rapidly improving swimmer, Sisson was runner-up in the 100-yard breaststroke and third in the 200-yard freestyle at the 2017 MHSAA Girls D-I State Championships. She is a USA Swimming Scholastic All-American and NISCA All-American.

Chloe Hicks
Backstroke | Centreville, Va. (Westfield High School/Machine Aquatics/Virginia Tech)
Hicks, a 2018 NCAA Championships qualifier, is a transfer from Virginia Tech. At the NCAA Championships, she was 34th in the 100-yard backstroke and 38th in the 200-yard backstroke. At last year's ACC Championships, Hicks was eighth in the 200-yard backstroke, 20th in the 500-yard freestyle and 22nd in the 100-yard backstroke, while anchoring the Hokies' 800-yard freestyle relay. She will have two years of eligibility left at Michigan.

Hicks is the third transfer since the end of the 2016-17 season to come to Michigan, joining Taylor Garcia (Arizona) and Miranda Tucker (Indiana). Sisson is the fourth freshman in the team's 2018-19 class, joining Victoria Kwan, Maggie MacNeil and Katie Minnich.
